This week is Transgender Awareness Week, and Sunday is Trans Day of Remembrance. On TDOR, we commemorate and remember the trans folks who have lost their lives to senseless anti-trans violence over the past year. Please join MCC Hartford this Sunday at 7pm in-person (155 Wyllys St, Hartford) or on Zoom for a candlelight vigil. More information from their Facebook event page:
“We gather to remember and honor those we lost in the transgender community this past year due to anti-transgender violence and hate. We gather to lift and encourage each other for we are resilient and precious. We gather and promise to help make the changes necessary by bringing more loving kindness into the world and demanding that every life, including those who are transgender, have the right and opportunity to flourish.”
