SYMPTOMS
- Sudden onset of fever, headache, or stiff neck
- Nausea, vomiting
- Confusion or disorientation
- Sensitivity to light
This outbreak is primarily affecting men who have sex with men. Meningitis CAN be spread sexually!
If you experience any of the symptoms of meningitis, go to the emergency room IMMEDIATELY.
It is EXTREMELY important to get medical treatment as quickly as possible, because meningitis can cause disability or death.
