Today, the Hartford Gay and Lesbian Health Collective (HGLHC) would like to announce the appointment of Dr. Dana Bishop, DNP as their new full-time onsite Medical Director. This latest addition marks a significant milestone in the organization’s four-decade-long journey of fostering health, well-being, and equal access to quality healthcare services within the Hartford region.
Dana Bishop, brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and a deep commitment to holistic and inclusive healthcare, derived from a robust, 39-year medical career. Possessing a Doctorate in Nursing Practice, Dana is poised to elevate the medical services offered by the HGLHC, ensuring comprehensive and culturally competent
care tailored to the unique needs of every patient. This position will bolster the organization’s existing programs, which include dental services, HIV/STI prevention and treatment, support groups, health education, and food delivery.
